| There is a recipe in my family that is similar to Rotel dip and we call it Menudo. I have no idea where the name came from, but I used to think it was the real thing. Someone asked me once if I'd ever had Menudo and I very enthusiastically said yes, I loved it. The person who asked me was a little horrified and grossed out. She wanted to know how I could eat that. I didn't understand what was so gross about cheese, sausage, and tomatoes. So, she explained what real Menudo was and I was completely repulsed. I think about that every time I eat "our" Menudo. |
