| We used to go to the fair, every year when I was growing up, showed hawgs ( had registered Berkshire herd), showed horses, sister entered the sewing thing, I always would walk through the produce barn every day, it had the pies in it. We were big time 4-H and FFA. Ours was a week long and we had dorms on the fair grounds we stayed in. But it is no longer like it was, no they just bring the animals for a day or two show and leave. Times just have changed and security issues would not allow things to be like they use too. |
