Michael Symon confirmed the announcement that he will
replace Robert Irvine as the host of
Dinner: Impossible on his
official blog:
"As some of you may have read we made the announcement today that I will be taking over as host of Dinner Impossible. I am super stoked to take over this show as it is a proven format and I love a good challenge. To make it even more exciting DI will be going to a one hour format and I will have a bunch of my close friends as sous chefs, which should make the show very entertaining and fun."
Symon also announced that he will be opening a new restaurant in Detroit called
Roast, focusing on "all that is meat," and featuring a wood fired rotisserie with suckling pigs, baby goats and spring lamb.

Wow... quite a day for Symon! I've never spent any time in Detroit, but I had a lovely layover at the Detroit airport this past December. Perhaps I'll have to make it a point to actually venture into the city once Roast opens.
