Mario has friends all through the music industry.
He is close with Michael Stipe of R.E.M
He hangs around with Chris Martin of ColdPlay (that's how he hooked up with Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris' wife)
He has so many associates in the music and entertainment business (and now NASCAR too!)
I don't find it very strange that he would know Courtney Love but as far as an intimate relationship, as I said in the top of the post, this is not substantiated.
