| This is actually my favorite show on Food Network right now. I couldn't see how any of these people would complain -- good lord, the Food network is recognizing their cooking, why would that be a bad thing? And basically -- it IS a food network special for them, as the show spends a great deal of time talking about the local cook, so it's basically a chefography for each of the competitors -- and sometimes, like in the case of Michelle Doll, they come back and compete on Food Network challenges.
Also, I think the idea of them doing the same dish is silly -- the whole idea is that Flay puts on a different flair. And, keep in mind, he's lost 2/3 of them. So most of the time the local person wins.
Flay is my favorite chef so I really enjoy his shows, I think this could be a network show frankly. It's fun. |
