| Oh my, that is one of my favorite spring treats. My mom would grow leaf lettuce and we picked it when its young and tender add green onions and make dressing with bacon drippings and cider vinegar.
Alton did a spinach salad last year on Good Eats that was very similar to wilted lettuce salad. At least the dressing was almost identical to my mom's. |
