FN stopped buying/dubbing episodes before they reached the 1997 season, so most non-Japanese IC fans have never had the opportunity to see battles from that season. The Iron Chef Collection has acquired 30 episodes of Ryouri no Tetsujin that never aired on Food Network. Head over to the site for more details.

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am that we found these episodes. I also can't begin to tell you how hard it is to find 11 year old episodes of a show that is no longer in production, much less episodes that originally aired in Japan. (Keep in mind that Japanese networks don't really show repeats, so once a show is over, it's really hard to find original shows unless they come out on DVD. Of course, Ryouri no Tetsujin never came out on DVD.)
