| I am guessing you are talking about Ace of Cakes, there is always a portion of the cake that is edible, some of the stuff in the cake is for support or decorations and most likely you would not want to try eating it. I have seen frosted styrofoam just for display, not for consumption. At least this is what I have gathered from watching the show.
