| It looks like the rice crispy sculptures are not really intended for eating. I know that often when there are budget concerns (probably wouldn't be ordering from Charm City Cakes) most of a wedding cake can be made of frosted and decorated Styrofoam. The bottom tier is usually real for the bride and groom to cut (sometimes the top is real as well for them to save), and there are large sheet cakes in the kitchen for the guests! When I worked in a grocery store that made wedding cakes we could add a plain full sheet for under $40 that would add around 80 servings, this many servings of the actual wedding cake would have been over $300.
I would say that the cakes they make that are not sculptures are entirely edible, especially for the prices people are willing to pay.
