Great info!

The Magimix though, claims that it has a large feed tube - yet it still looks awfully small to me. It costs about what I paid for the K'Aid KPFP850PM Pearl Metalic Food Processor.

Magimix is also made by Robot Coup, which used to make Cuisinart processors.

Also, it would have been a waste for me to get that one since I already have a Juiceman Juicer, which makes great fresh carrot juice!

I had thought about getting the next one down in the K'Aid line, but I decided to get their top-of-the-line model for power and durability.

I DID own a Cuisinart (DLC-7Pro) for 20 years, but after a while, the plastic drive stem for the slicing & shredding disks kept cracking and the worrk bowl would also crack and leak.

Then the lid wouldn't lock on to the work bowl! Guess it was time to get a new machine. And that is when I bought the K'Aid machine.
