I enjoyed reading about fruitcake. I happen to like it, as does my husband. Every year I give him a small fruitcake that is made by the Trappist Monks, here in Oregon. They are delicious!
There are a lot of people who say they don't like fruitcake, but I think they don't care for candied fruit.
Another favorite of ours is Spumoni ice cream, which has candied fruit in it as well. Dreyer's makes a great one as does Tillamook (Oregon company). Just a couple of bites and it is Christmas 1958 for me!
