| Growing up in rural Maine, we had it good. Seven towns sent their kids to my high school and we still had only 200 students (freshmen-senior). We had a kitchen full of French (Canadian) ladies that could cook some good food!!!! We always looked forward to thanksgiving, they really did a nice job. There was only one vending machine and it sold juice. They also sold lunch a-la-carte, but still homemade food (subs, salads, cookies etc..). It was 15 miles to the nearest fast food.
