I've never tasted a cake from Charm City, but I have friends who have and they say the cakes look good, but don't taste as good.. The best cakes I've had, and this place has been around for years, is Fisher's in Old Ellicott City

I got a cake from Charm City cakes for my mom's 60th birthday bash and it was lovely and fun, and all three of the layers were quite yummy, as were all the little sample nibbles we got to help us decide on the flavors.

I also went to a Charm City tasting with my older sister and I thought the cake was very good. Definately expensive, but very tasty cake. At the tasting you get sent away with a little box of about 8 different flavor combos, you can request any you like. And Duff was very nice and spent lots of time with us. My sister ended up getting the strawberry cake from PP anyway, which is totally delicious.
