They actually have Wright Brand Bacon at Sam's. I am going to pick some up next trip.

We usually buy Holmes Hickory Smoked thick slice bacon, the wife bought some of the Wrights because it was on sale, I cooked two batches in the oven same time, the Holmes was so much better, slices stayed thicker, taste was totally better. I was not impressed at all with the Wright's. IMHO the Smoke House bacon was much better, and about the same price.

prepared with passion and served with love !

I don't like things that are heavy smoked. I like mine thicker but my son doesn't because it won't get quite as crispy.

I like the thick-sliced. The brand carried at Costco is pretty good (it's a 4 pound pack). Not real fatty and will get nice and crisp.

I buy our bacon at Whole Foods in at the meat/butcher counter. Get the right amount and none goes to waste, but waist!

It's a thick, cut, pepper bacon and SO delicious!

I freeze it. Bacon freezes pretty well and I have it when I need it.

The bacon I get from Costco comes in a 4 pound bundle, but is packaged in 1 pound packs. I just put it in the freezer and take out 1 pound at a time. That 1 pound doesn't last long around our house to go bad. Especially this time of year with all the local fresh tomatoes just calling for BLTs.

I take it out of the store package and separate it into portions and wrap those in press and seal, then put them in a sealed freezer bag.
