I am hoping the best for him, I think he will do well. I notice in the preview he has a child with him, that is when he was at his best during the competition.

I was impressed at how good each of their pilots were. Do you guys think given the same amount of time all of the contestants could have done that well or did Food Network pick 3 winners for the final episode to make a pilot?

In the article on Aaron McCargo Jr. that appears in the New York Times, it says that the FN IS considering renewing his show past the first six episodes, since it drew about 1.2 million fans and viewers to tune in to watch the first episode and the rest of them!
