'Big Daddy' gives cooking demo
Camden Chef Aaron "Big Daddy" McCargo Jr. will be at the Radisson Plaza Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia at 6 p.m. Oct. 24 for a live cooking demonstration. McCargo is the star of the Food Network's "Big Daddy's House," which premiered after his recent victory, over fellow local chef Adam Gertler, on "The Next Food Network Star." Food Network producer Gordon Elliott will host the event at which McCargo, who formerly cooked at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, will make his signature dishes and provide culinary tips.

He does the same things at Paula's events. Even if he's not the host of the even, he still attends. It's like he has to have full control over what they do.

I saw this earlier. I am sure Aaron is test driving new recipes for his new show starting in January.

Also it gives Gordon an opportunity to come up with ideas to sell to FN that he can market Aaron for (of course Gordon would produce). Remember FN uses the same person for a number of projects.

These events will help Aaron with his presentation skills, his interaction skills and keep him visible. Remember: Out of sight..out of mind! Got to stay in front of people.

I see Aaron has a brand/logo. What do you think about it?

Everybody else has, so why not. I would give a sauce from him a try.

I read a blog on FN from a guy who says he knows Aaron. He said that Aaron makes great sauces and soups. Everything that he said in the blog was on point.
Maybe Aaron will do some soups and sauces on his show.

It is good to do these demonstration, gives him an opportunity to meet with the public and his viewers, and this way they get a chance to tell him what they would like to see face to face, I know when I met Emeril, I had a chance to voice my opinion and you know he actually listened, and then winked and told me the announcement would be out soon, that was about Emeril Green, so yes it is a good thing for Aaron to be in the public view.
