Great article! I love being able to tell who all gets the Google Alerts.

This article, hands-down, had the best & most info of all the articles lately pertaining to AB's diet/weight loss AND the GE live shows. Oh, yeah, AND some quotes from Mike! What more could you ask for?
Oh & I got me a new quote to add to my siggy...
*~Lauren~*
I want to hear AB's Sinatra medley.
"You stole my shirt!""It's hard to do Palistinian cuisine & crack jokes."
About me wearing my blue pineapple shirt

"The dogs need new shoes."
"But then I'm a nerd."
"Do this & people will call you a geek. Personally, I'm okay with that."
"I can't help but wonder... is the bunny okay? I'll never know."

I have probably every kind of alert you can imagine relating to the Food Network.
But you don't need them anymore, you can just come here.

I get Alton Google alerts too.

I never thought of Alton as a "big fat hog." In fact, I thought he looked alright. And, he gave up doughnuts! That's a biggie! I remember how much he talked about loving them on FOA 2. I've been to the drive-in doughnut shop in Mississippi that they stopped at. We were there about 3 years before AB while on one of our RV trips. Those were dang good doughnuts and we, er, stopped there several times while in the area.“I’m happy with routines,” he said. “Instead of being a big fat hog, I’ll be a fit guy
Also know where there is another great doughnut shop in West Yellowstone. We'd stop there each morning to get a box of them on our way into Yellowstone. Luckily we were doing a bunch of hiking each day, so all that doughnut power came in handy!

Yeah, I don't know why AB thought of himself that way--I certainly never saw evidence of that. "Vegetarians, and their Hezbollah-like splinter faction, the vegans ... are the enemy of everything good and decent in the human spirit."

From a purely aesthetic thing, I think he looks better with a few pounds on him. I know he gained a lot during FOA2, but he had seemed to drop that weight and looked fine.
When I saw him in DC he looked great and apparently was a few weeks into his new regime.

I agree...I thought he looked great before. Sometimes people go a little crazy once they start losing weight and can't stop.

I'm curious if he lost a little extra because he may be expecting to gain some back...

It goes to show that these scales of what's considered "normal" etc. as far as weight & BMI go are too low. As it stand, AB's at 23, which is on the high end of normal. (My only issue with the couple calculators I used didn't have you select gender.)
I'm a very small gal, only barely 5' tall & land right smack in the middle of what's considered overweight at 142. But, I've lost 10 pounds in about 4 months & at least am not hovering that close to obese anymore.*~Lauren~*

Maybe we should kidnap him and fatten him up?

Just kidding AB! But, I'll be glad to cook for you anytime.
