Alton Brown arrived on stage Saturday in a suit jacket and tie, unusually formal for the “Good Eats” host. But he kept to signature sneakers and jeans below ...

    Nice write-up.

But, I don't know what's with the snotty comments people posted there...

"It's hard to do Palistinian cuisine & crack jokes."

Wow - really negative comments on that story. I hope that our fans who attended will have better reviews.

I never expected Alton to be supersweet and friendly to all. One must have something for themselves and their family, ya know? Besides, Alton has referred to himself as "painfully shy" and oftentimes that gets misinterpreted.

The event sounded like fun in the review at least!

I'm hoping beyond hope that the full recordings of both shows will see the light of day on DVD sometime in the (near) future after the TV version airs. That'd be awesome!

I have seen people say the same things about Emeril. I don't know what they are expecting from them, I guess they feel like they know him and he should be their best friend. But they don't know who all these people are or if they are SANE!

Detailed report later, but I must comment. The show was everything a Good Eats viewer would expect.

Now the trivia segment was not what I was expecting. The "super fans" vs AB wasn't a true reflection of their knowledge of the show... at least I hope not. Actually, I'm kind of glad I didn't win and get on the panel.

As for meeting Alton, every time I've meet him he's be so nice, a gentleman through and through. This time was no exception. He is very appreciative of his fans.

The only stories I've heard have all been good. (If he were really a jerk as they say, wouldn't there be a bunch of horrible stories out there??)

And of course you're paying for the tickets to see the show! You're paying to BE THERE. Just like wrestling fans pay to BE THERE, despite the fact you can watch it on TV for free. *shrugs*

And, Mise, that's interesting about the super fan panel... was it nudged in AB's favor? It may have been somewhat staged...

The panelists didn't know a whole lot. One time AB let them ask the audience. Then AB's buzzer went out.

But the "superfans" on the panel overacted and played dumb. It was so staged. Not a real trivia contest that I thought it was going to be.

I am willing to bet they told them what to do. The video contest was probably to pick the best "actors".

Will we get to see Marsha and Elton again?

Marsha was there leading Camp Pancake.

    Elton, no.

Some of the other actors who play characters were there.

AB came out in Col. Bob Boatwright attire.

    Ted Allen was the eemcee.

    It was great.
