Neat article.
One of my coworkers hates the "green, leafy stuff." Me, I'm just picky as all get out, but I like most of the green leafy stuff & assorted other green veggies, especially if mixed in or with something else.*~Lauren~*

I've always loved the veggies and at times can just make a meal of them. I think I was the only kid in my grade school that actually like Brussels sprouts.

Reminds of that commercial about the ravioli and the woman hitting the pots when her husband is reading the can, I want to reach out hit her upside the head, I think sometimes we do not give kids enough credit. I was never forced to eat something I did not like, I had to try it, and I was never lied to or have some one try trick me into eating by covering it up, or putting it into something else. I think you raise picky eaters doing that stuff. Fix the vegetables, little salt and pepper, maybe a dab of butter. They will either like or won't like. Just keep trying different vegetables, try steaming them, try roasting them but keep trying, your going to find something they like. But do not lie to your kids, it sets up a whole bad re-pore with them, if you lie and they do know, do you not think that they are going to wonder what else your lying about? I think honest values is the best thing you can do for your children, forcing vegetables they do not like and lying to them is wrong.

What worked for me, when daughter was little, was the happy talk, "We are having something new tonight that will be special!" Let them help in preparing it, and they will probably like it. And, lots of "yum, this is soooo good" talk helps as well.
It worked for me. Not saying it will work for others, but it's worth a try.BerryBaby
