Rep Power: 10 | Where's the liver baby food? I remember seeing a recipe, years ago, that tried to duplicate the original Slider's recipe and they used the baby food in them.
My husband knows the family that started White Castle back in Columbus. Whenever he goes back there, he has to stop at White Castle. They don't have them out here and never will. He told me why, but it's a long story from what I remember. Has to do with a distribution center of something.
We can buy them in the frozen section of the grocery stores and Walgreens carries them as well.

Rep Power: 1 | Oh...THOSE sliders...OK, I get it...I was wondering...you can just imagine what I was thinking, when I read the title of this thread! "Sliders" is what I used to call raw oysters...in fact, I came up with a really inexpensive way to eat raw oysters:
1. Tie a string around raw oyster.
2. Slurp it down.
3. Using string, pull oyster back out.
4. Slurp it down AGAIN!
5. Repeat as necessary.
Half a dozen of these can last all dinner long!
Different kind of SLIDER..though, ROFLMAO!

Rep Power: 10 | I always heard the Southern equivalent of White Castle was Krystals.

Rep Power: 10 | We don't have either here. I had a white castle in Tennessee years ago but I didn't like it. I am not a fan of McDonalds either though. Burger King is okay. But I prefer Wendy's

Ha haaaaa! ROFLMAO....it IS, isn't it?
White Castle doesn't have a place here in Fla...but one of my FAVORITE burgers is Juicy Lucy's. A lot of them have closed shop around here...we don't have a Sonic (yet)...
I used to be able to woof down half a dozen of those little burgers. Somehow, I don't think they are the healthiest thing, but they make up for that in SIZE...
One or two Sliders won't hurt ya...just have a salad with it! Drat! Now I'm hungry...thinking of those...

Rep Power: 1 | Yup, White Castle is the same as Krystal's. I don't eat there. Not my thing.
For some reason, there are a lot of fast food joints that use different names in the South or on the East coast than in the West. Hardees is Carl's Jr, Krystal is White Castle, Checkers is Rally's. Does anyone know why that is? Is it due to one chain buying out another?
Radio Doug, where are you in Florida? I'm in the Orlando area and we have Sonics all over the place. They are nowhere near as prolific as McDonalds, but I know of quite a few. I love their tater tots.
I wish we had an In n Out Burger here. My dad and brother live in California, and I demand a pit stop at In n Out whenever I'm there. |
