I love my crockpot. Never made oats in it, but that would be something to try.
I enjoy the Snoqualmie Falls oatmeal. Only a few places carry it in Oregon but you can buy it online. It is really, really good!

One year my husband's sister wanted us to bring her seven bags of it when we went to visit. She's in Ohio. We toted that stuff on the plane and it wasn't easy! They are five pound bags. Talk about family love! I wouldn't do it for anyone else, ever again.

crocpots have many uses besides slow cooking. I keep potatoes, stuffing, gravy etc.. warm in mine, I wouldn't be without it.

I have a little one I like to use for gravy when we have a big holiday dinner. And I have a larger one, but I prefer my dutch oven over it. They do keep things nice and warm though.

I don't have a little one, but may need to get one as they sound like they are quite useful.

I did get a mini-food processor for Christmas and it is a lot of fun to use. I have a big one which is great for pie crust, bread, etc. This mini is great for making hummus, chopping bacon into bits and other things in small amounts.

I have one now that is about 4 cups. I did have a 2 cup one someone gave us as a wedding gift but it was too small for anything. I gave it to my brother when he bought his house to use for potpourri after he painted and cleaned the carpet to get a nicer smell going. That's about all it was good for.
