Three more years of Alton Brown on Food Network

Three more years of Alton Brown on Food Network

By Rodney Ho | Wednesday, January 2, 2008, 09:58 PM
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Atlanta’s busy food maven Alton Brown recently signed a three-year contract renewal with the Food Network, guaranteeing fresh episodes of “Good Eats” at least through 2010.
Brown’s signature show, produced here in Atlanta, will soon exceed 200 episodes, having been on air for nearly a decade. Production starts again in mid February, according to his line producer Dana Popoff. “Good Eats” was given the coveted 8 p.m. primetime weekday slot this past fall, bumping “Emeril Live!” which ended production last month.

I'm so happy!

Alton is the best. Even though I cooked for years before watching Good Eats, I've learned so much from him. And he's a great guy too.

This is great news to me. I think Alton was the first person I ever watched on FN. We're losing so many of the old gang it's great to hear he has been renewed. He's smart, informative and, best of all, doesn't take himself too seriously.

I'm so glad Alton will be around. I really enjoy his Good Eats but I could watch lots more Feasting on Asphalt too.

He seems to be the most popular on the network now. He really knows his stuff. I just hope they don't over kill like they did with Rachael Ray. Although personally I could handle a lot more Alton than I could Rachael.

How many other 'Feasting' shows could we all come up with that Alton could do? He could do a big series of shows and then sell in box sets.

I already mentioned "Feasting on Produce"...anyone have any other ideas?
