Alton's doing another Feasting on...

It would be interesting to have him go out on a boat and eat only what he catches. Assuming he wouldn't starve.

Smile

Although I don't like everything that he does, Alton has a real knack for taking the "cooking show" in new directions.
This new effort, and I bet he pitched it to them, sounds like another great direction for him and FTV.

Not sure if I'll like this type of show but I did enjoy both seasons of Feasting on Asphalt.

Only a bunch of guys could pull something like that off. Can you imagine a group of women sleeping out under the stars, cooking over a fire and not bathing daily? Yikes! Not to mention the weight gain of stuffing yourself, LOL. (Oh, maybe I'm just a big baby. I always hated anything to do with camping. Just give me a place to plug in my hair dryer and some room service, LOL)

I thoroughly enjoyed both seasons of Feasting on Asphalt. This one sounds like an interesting premise as well.

Smile Feasting on Asphalt...

I loved the first Feasting on Asphalt series. The second one, that went up the Mississippi River, I did not think was quite as interesting. Can't wait to see Feasting on Waves.

I agree with Jane, I liked the first season but not so much the second. Alton seemed more genuinely interested in the people who ran the restaurants in the first series. In the second, I felt he was often making fun of them. Of course, it was in a subtle way that went over their heads most of the time but still, I didn't care for this.

And what's with that motorcycle--he reminds me of Bill Macy's character in Wild Hogs. They do have a couple vans following everywhere. Give Alton a Harley and let him ride without a helmet.

chef

Given what happened to AB in the first season, he'd better keep the helmet

When is the new season of Good Eats? I have it set to record new episodes on the DVR but there are none coming up.
