Rep Power: 1 | Multitaskers This probably a dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyways. The episode of GE where Alton was doing roulades, he used a large metal implement to thin the meat, but he never identified what it was. Does anyone know? |

Thanks for the reply, but no that was not it. It had a large silver disk like shape, with a long handle. It looked like a big silver hockey puck with a pan handle. I believe the episode was Fit To Be Tied, and it looks like it may be on again March 10th at 8pm. If you happen to watch the episode, let me know if you recognize it. |

Rep Power: 1 | Yes it is, but apparently it does the job nicely. I'll have to see if my local Becca, or Williams & Sonoma has it. |

Rep Power: 10 | I use my meat pounder quite often, but it is more of a mallet looking thing. One side is flat, the other side has spikey things. Both could do some serious harm if not used correctly.
