Rep Power: 10 | Celebrity chef Alton Brown, is the crown prince of food TV Celebrity chef Alton Brown is the crown prince of food TV By Andrew Z.Galarneau - News Staff Reporter

Call Alton Brown the crown prince of food television, and he politely insists you’re mistaken. That is, after all, how true nobility handles these gauche questions of status. It matters not, Brown says, that “ Good Eats,” his smart- yet- slapstick creation, has replaced the Food Network’s former flagship,
Emeril Lagasse’s “ Emeril Live,” in the prime- time 8 p. m. slot. “ That is in no way, fashion or form a move up any kind of ladder,” he avers. MORE HERE

Rep Power: 1 | I'm kind of surprised that FN doesn't have him on during the day. |

Rep Power: 10 | Maybe it's because he isn't peddling as many products as everyone else, he has a few items on his site but many of the others have food products and extensive kitchenware lines. Even Ina has a line of mixes. And maybe he just doesn't do as many interviews.

Rep Power: 2 | maybe it because he makes most of the food from scratch, with raw products, kinda hard to sell stuff that is already marketed. As for the cookware the stuff he uses is a mix of products from others. But you know I am glad to see one staying true to himself and not bending to the almighty money, I think in the long run he will benefit more than others, just selling his DVDs they can be used in science classes for education as well as cooking classes. |

Rep Power: 10 | And he likes to use non traditional items as kitchenware. Maybe he could do a line of cookware flower pots.
