One last thing before everyone slaps me out of fangirl mode
I need to talk about the meet and greet!
I waited in line a long time, I tried to be near the end because I've heard Alton spends more time with people near the end of the line. But it seemed about the same amount of time from last year (of course my judgment is compromised around Alton!
)
Anyway, I walked up to him and he was looking at me. I think reading my shirt (I wore my mac users shirt for him!) so I ended up jumping the gun and introducing myself before he introduced himself. I'm a little embarrassed about that! He smiled, so it was ok. I told Alton that I'm getting better at talking with him (not really I forgot over half of the stuff I wanted to say!) because last year I forgot my name! He said it was ok because I had a nametag. I told him that was his answer last year. We laughed. Then he asked if the poster (the event included a poster for him to sign) was for me. He signed it and we talked for awhile.
Then he looks down at this small plate I brought and asked, "what did you want me to do with that?" I said, would you sign it? So he picks it up and flips it over to read the brand, its a style he uses on Good Eats! After he looked it over, I see him writing on it. He signed it with the little AB cartoon guy he does! We chatted some more and while I was talking I remembered the keychain. It was on my finger so I wouldn't lose it. I asked if it was too small for him to sign. He took it. I was still talking about it being too small to sign. Then he slid it across the table back to me and asked "how is this?" I look down and see the little AB guy on the keychain! I was so happy and told it was great (or something like that) then I remember thanking him.
As I was getting ready to leave, he told me not to break the plate. I told him I wouldn't and said goodbye! I floated off!!

Alton is so nice and genuine, nothing fake about him. He doesn't act like a "star" or anything like that. All of the times I met him, we've actually talked and he had seemed interested in our conversation--like one of your friends or someone like that. He treats his fans really well and I really believe he appreciates that we come to see him.
He also puts on a heck of a live show!!!!
