FoW Episode 1!!!

The title for the first episode is: Sugar on Isle One

For some reason FN has it called Feasting on Asphalt
Nonetheless, the episode description is up!

There's a nice pic on AB's site too

PicBuddy is an unknown quantity at this point
Woo Hoo! I am looking forward to this very much as well. Checked and sure nuff the TIVO doesn't go up to the 7th either... So I wrote it on the fridge to remember, haha!

Not sure if these were online today when you look at the site but there are now 5 new videos online, showing up to 5 minute extracts of the new shows!

Feasting on Waves with Alton Brown : Food Network

It's almost 18 minutes of footage, nearly as long as a 21 minute (30 minute program without commercials!)

They were not there last time i looked (about a week ago). Real nice job by FN/Scripps or whatever... I think that's the most advanced footage they have ever put online for any show. Good to see they are getting up to speed with the Internet video movement.

This looks like it's really going to be a fun show. In fact I think we may order Food HD (Hi-Def) for this one.

Alton has done a wonderful job with both FOAs. I know this one is going to be great!

He talked a little about it in Nashville. First he said it was premiering in Sept and blanked on the date. So I shouted Sept 7th! He looked in my direction but I don't think he knew it was me Then he said something like, ok Sept 7th
The other thing he talked about was the difference in people, culturally, in the Caribbean and the US. Alton said a TV crew shows up in the US and most people get really excited and are more than happy to have the crew in their location. But in the Caribbean people were a lot more leery of having cameras in their establishments. He said it made filming it more difficult. BTW, Alton does a darn fine Jamaican accent.

One of my favorites was one of the guys in FOA he pointed out as "definitely not a tourist" and he was this big rough looking trucker guy.

It would be nice if FN ran the two FOA back to back as a lead-in for FOW.

Hint, Hint FN.

I dunno. I love AB but the feeling I got when I saw the show was someone really did a nice job selling a company paid tropical vacation to FN management.

"You see, it will be JUST like feasting on asphalt, you see, but it will be in the Caribbean, and like instead of motor cycles, we will have boats, but really its the same show....we will call it....feasting....on WAVES..'
