I got the Oxo safety can opener, and it works like a charm!

Much better than that piece-of-crap so-called safety can opener that came out several years ago!!

Yeah, you just can help falling in love with Oxo products! I like their products and those big fat black ergonomically-styled handles on their stuff!! Very futuristic looking!

    I've done just the opposite

.....I really don't have much that is "Alton's" (except the plungers)... not that I haven't asked for them.

I have, however, gotten RID OF things (like the hubby's avacado slicer) because they were deemed as useless and redundant unitaskers by him.
Except my rice cooker. I kept that and use it a lot, even though he threw his out the kitchen window in one episode.

More than go out and buy stuff I tend to quote him too much... I'm sure that if my husband hears "But Alton said..." or "One time, on Good Eats..." one more time he'll take the remote away from me.

I'm quite surprised that HE doesn't have a cookware set out with HIS name on it.
    Or does he?

Alton doesn't have a cookware set with is name on it. In the past he has endorsed Lodge cookware and he uses All-Clad. But I'm not surprised that AB hasn't hocked a line of products because he really goes for quality and doesn't seem content to slap his name on products just to make money.

The Alton's Angles knives line from Shun is a good example of the type of products he endorses, when he does it. I'd love to have those but they are a bit pricey

I've been drooling over those knives for a couple years and been hinting to the DH, but so far the hinting hasn't taken root.

I thought you wrote "Alton's Angels"! But, hey, that would be a good name for all of his fans...
