Rep Power: 0 | Tea In Atlanta Hey folks! Great forum here and thanks for putting this up.
I'm a huge Alton fan, of course. And it doesn't hurt that I lived around Atlanta for most of my life.
On a random note, the end of the Fondue episode was on the high school football field I used to play on. How odd. Never would have thought someone would be making fondue there!
I'm looking for a suggestion for a Tea Shop.
I was watching "True Brew - Tea" again the other day and it got to me thinking that I'd like to visit a really good Tea Shop like that. I've never been a huge tea drinker but I'd really like to try some good tea from a local store like that.
Sadly, it seems that Elephant Tea (The store they filmed in) is gone. No websearches are found and the phone numbers either don't answer or go to another business.
Anyone have any good suggestions for a quality Tea Shop in or around Atlanta? Farther north is fine but I'd prefer not to go too far south.
Thanks -
Bingo |

Hi Bingo,
I'm an Alton Brown fanatic
I wish I had some info on the tea shop, but I'm far, far away from the Atlanta area
I did look at Bell South's online Yellowpages and found this place:
Red Diamond Coffee And Tea 3179 Maple Dr Ne Atlanta, GA 30305 (404) 261-4888
Maybe this place would have something.
My favorite teas are Elmwood Inn from Kentucky. Their English Breakfast tea is wonderful http://elmwoodinn.com/ |

Rep Power: 10 | I saw one of the Teavana's in Florida while we visiting Disney world. There was a Mall there with one. Cute little teapots too. |

Rep Power: 0 | Thanks for the welcome folks!
And thank you as well for the tips. I'll have to check both of those places out when I get back there in December.
I'll give a report on them if possible.
Hopefully, they will be as inviting at the one on ABs show looked - a wall full of cannisters of teas and an obvious tea expert working there!
And now you've reminded me - I'll have to find the pictures and post them sometime - I made air conditioner filter jerky just like Alton did on his show once. I documented the process in photos too!
