Just when we wonder if it’s time to slow down a bit, we see mixologist Alex Ott (pictured right) at the Svedka booth. In case you're wondering: total hotness. He’s mixing flavored Svedka into a variety of concoctions, so naturally we opt for sippy cups of all four varieties. Each one is better than the next, especially the mandarin orange and ginger-lemongrass. Ott's job is traveling the world as a cocktail consultant and filming an upcoming series for the Discovery Channel. “Oh, and I’m also going to be the new host of Iron Chef,” he says nonchalantly. You heard it here first, stalkers.

My goodness, I leave for a few hours and this crops up!

Before I go headlong into panic mode, I give you these facts:

Alton has filmed a bunch of ICA episodes from June, so if he were to leave it will be awhile
Alton is included in the Wii ICA game which isn't even out on store shelves yet
Alton mentioned in Nashville about another Next Iron Chef competition. Do you seriously think he would be plugging that if he were out as ICA commentator? (Well, unless this is a recent decision by FN exes)

I believe this to be a rumor
It better be

It would be a HUGE mistake by FN, because NO one can do the commentator role like AB (Unless it were AB's decision to leave)

I hope the guy is joking because he's a bartender and not The Food Guru that Alton is. Alton is a part of ICA as much as the Iron Chefs and the secret ingredient.

I'm not going to believe it until the word comes from FN.

No, I don't think ANYONE can match Alton on food knowledge. Big shoes this guy wants to play dress up with.
