He is well known for using the brining method for turkeys.

A few years back he did the turkey on one of the FN specials, I was impressed. I think 2005? He certainly wasn't the name on FN that he is now and he got to do the turkey.

Probably "holiday" special


I remember the first Christmas special he did with the fruitcake. He was at the very end and everyone was making fun of his fruitcake. That was like 2000 or 2001. I know I saw in 2001 because that's the year we got Direct TV. I had only been watching FN for a few months, but Alton was already my favorite. I didn't like they had him at the end
