Tuesday, November 4 3:00 AM Et Tu Mame EA1207 TV description: Alton uses the soy bean in a various recipes. Food network: That culinary chameleon the soy bean turns up as edamame when host Alton Brown takes it from the sushi bar and into the kitchen. I like edamame. Love them roasted and lighty salted.

Rep Power: 3 | I think Kroger has them in the healthy food section in the freezer.
I know Walmart has them
I'm really excited to see this episode. I'm wanting to try them!

Rep Power: 10 | Thanks I will look. Does walmart have fresh or just frozen? I try to avoid Walmart. Seems like I can never get in and out of that place in a reasonable amount of time. |

Rep Power: 3 | Frozen. The one at the Nitro Marketplace has them in the regular frozen veggie section.
I usually avoid Walmart like the plague, but occasionally I stop in there for a few things only they carry. |

Rep Power: 10 | We have them frozen, fresh, in the snack section coated with Wasabi...edamame is very popular in this part of the country. Personally, I have not tried them. Have a bag of frozen from Trader Joe's in the freezer.

Rep Power: 10 | I guess I will look at Kroger if he has something on this show I want to try. I would hate to buy the size of box they have at Sams and then have no one want to eat them after the first try.
If he makes all of his things with fresh we might be out of luck since freezing changes the texture of most things. He usually gives a "won't be the same" warning if he does use something but tells you that another will work though. |

Rep Power: 2 | I love edamame steamed, lots of local Japanese places here will serve them as an appetizer, they are kind of addictive sprinkled with a bit of salt after popping them out of their shells.

Rep Power: 10 | I did see it at Kroger in with the regular frozen veggies today. Must be gaining in popularity. |
