ooh, I love Baklava! The best that I have tried was from a middle eastern deli nearby, they make their own from scratch, both the traditional pistachio and walnut, I love them both. I may finally give this a shot.

I'd love to try making it. I love Baklava but it always seemed overwhelming to give it a go. I usually buy it at Whole Foods.

I love it and have made it... but, it's been a while. Lot of work layering all that phyllo dough.

I have made it too. I like it, but it can be a bit too rich.

This is going to be one episode I watch for pure entertainment because I'm allergic to walnuts and almonds

Probably my least favorite dessert. Too sweet and messy for my liking. But then, I'm not much of a sweet eater.

I have found that the authentic scratch made baklava although sweet, is often much less sweet than the commercial stuff that can be found just about anywhere. The lebenese deli that I go to makes really good baklava, and the flavor of the nuts comes through much more than the sugar syrup. But this is definitely not a dessert for those who aren't into sweets!

I don't like to get baklava that is so syrupy that when you bite into it so much syrup runs outs it's like wringing out a sponge. Just enough sticky goodness to hold all those layers together and a wee bit on the tips of your fingers for licking off when finish.

I can't speak for the recipe, since I'm allergic to nuts, but I loved the episode.
It was fun and filled with so much stuff
I want that painting of AB
