I have heard this episode shows Alton's real home kitchen.

First thing I thought of when I saw the title of this was that episode of the Simpsons where Homer is on the submarine.

CAPTAIN: "Simpson, what do you want?"
HOMER: "I want peas."
CAPTAIN: "We all want peace, but it's always a little out of reach. And how do you get peace?..."
HOMER: "With a knife."
CAPTAIN: "That's right, not with an olive branch, but with the bayonette."

I remember the Seinfeld episode where he dumps the girl for eating peas one at a time with a fork. She ate corn niblets and she scooped them, but he couldn't get past her eating the peas one at a time.
