We were told ( when we were kids) if you put salt on a birds tail you can catch it. Maybe we need to salt some tails. Of course I finally figured out if I was close enough to put salt on the tail, I could pick it up anyways.

prepared with passion and served with love !

I do not cook to live, but live to cook !

Good point. Most of the birds in NYC, you could walk up to & pick up. They just aren't phased by humans at all.

As for the salt, I just wish they wouldn't do this all or none thing. Humans DO need salt in their diet, it's just a matter of having the right kind. It's all the manufactured sodium what-nots we have to watch out for. So, I'm with AB. I've been doing alot of reading on this myself as I've been trying to decrease my sodium intake. I'm not taking it away completely, I'm just trying to reduce. And that's what should be happening & not what they're actually considering.

There's a link on the article's page to a podcast done via phone with AB as well.

Here's the direct link: Table Conversations: Alton Brown

The audio will start automatically. There's also a link to save it.
