I'm totally with AB on the whole FB/Twitter thing. I'm one of those folks that just doesn't get it or see the need for it.

I use both, FB and tweeter, FB for family, tweeter for food related news. I appreciate AB not wanting to, but than again this forum is no different, nor are blogs. It is something that is. Not using it is one thing, being in his postion and stating he will never, his choice. I wonder does he think the same thing about his fans that use it and the web sites they put up ? Just some food for thought

A few years ago someone opened a MySpace page claiming to be Alton. I know he battled it get it off, I remember reading or hearing him talk about it somewhere. The only reason I knew it was fake because of the factual errors in the info.

I don't blame Alton for not wanting to share his personnel life with the world. There are some websites out there who pounce on celebs for what they post on either Twitter or FB. And, because of some of those sites, several celebs have shut down their Twitter and/or FB accounts.
I remember Alton's old website with his rants & raves. I enjoyed it, but that had to be shut down due to people and their comments.
The web is nice, boards are nice, but from running a board myself, I've found there is some nutcase or asshole born every minute. And, it's a shame those screw things up for the rest of us.Most of all, cook from the heart, and you’ll never be lonely when the dinner bell rings! - Chef Robert Irvin

This site is enough for me. Besides, where do people find the time to be on all the different sites?
I allow myself 30 minutes and that is it for the day. Otherwise, I wouldn't get anything done.

No kidding! I can't believe how nasty and rude some people are....they hide behind their computers writing negativity.
