Secrets of a Restaurant Chef premier Sunday, 6/29
It appears that "Secrets of a Restaurant Chef" is to premier Sunday, June 29 at 9:30 AM. The host will be Anne Burrell, who was Mario Batali's sous chef on Iron Chef. There are four episodes listed on FN's site.
Secrets of a Restaurant Chef with Anne Burrell
Here are a couple of articles from NY Magazine about it:
Anne Burrell to Get Food Network TV Show - Grub Street - New York Magazine
Anne Burrell Ready for Her Food Network Close-up - Grub Street - New York Magazine
Based on the articles above, FN knew they were launching this show before but they have hardly given it any advertising on the network (at least the first time I noticed it was this weekend). With Chic and Easy and Cooking for Real, they were advertised more than this one was (my perception, anyway).
I guess this means that Chic and Easy got the old axe. Let's see how well this new show does. I hope that this show gives a fresh perspective since there is an actual chef that hosts the show.

I for one will be watching, and hoping it is as interesting as I think it will be. I hope they have a place on the web site to send in comments , because I for one will be glad to see a chef back hosting a show again, and this one is right down my alley, restaurant dishes made at home. What I have read on it, is it will show her cooking the dish in the restaurant, than going home and remaking the dish there Yea!

Didn't we have an idea like this on our thread about "What would you like to see on FN?" It was pretty similar.
Look forward to watching it. Finally something different!BerryBaby

You notice that to BB, seems like a lot of stuff we talk about on here, ends up on the network one way or another. Makes me wonder, but no they would not do that would they ? or would they we probably will never know, although we do know MC reads the posts, even answers them. guess somebody on the network could, but if they are using our ideas wonder who is taking the credit for it? As long as bring shows worth watching it is okay with me.

This does look like it will be a good one. While there certainly is a place for the RR's and Aunt Sandy's of the world, it will be nice to have show hosted by an accomplished chef.

I watched today, and I do think FN may have a winner in this one.
