Citizen Critics Weigh In on Anne Burrell’s New Show
Anne Burrell: A debate already rages.Photo: Melissa Hom
Centro Vinoteca chef Anne Burrell’s Food Network show, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, premiered early Sunday morning, but not too early for Internet commenters. There are threads on eGullet and Yelp, but the longest by far is over at Serious Eats, where some viewers jumped on the chef with both feet, hectoring her for “doing a song and dance routine while talking non-stop.” MORE HERE
Well the post I read most of them liked her and thought her show was great, seems the way this writer is writing it was that most of them thought she moved her arms to much or something, leave it to a, I won't say it but I have friends in New York and they are the same way. Tie up there hands and they can not talk.

Oh my, I went to the two other forums, the first one I viewed, the eGullet was nothing but positive comments from many viewers, the second yelp, was the same poster through out the whole thing doing nothing but bashing not the show but Anne herself, her hair, her presentation, her dress, and I will say I would of deleted a lot of the comments for language, it is something I would not let my 33 year old read, if I had children like that I would take the computer away and put it in the trash.

Some people have nothing better to do than bash others. I'd love to see who they are. Very sad.
I was brought up with our mother teling us, "If you can't say something nice about someone, then say nothing at all." Guess that is a thing of the past.
...doing nothing but bashing not the show but Anne herself, her hair, her presentation, her dress...
Read some comments on a blog that was along the same lines. Bashing her for everything even down to the words she used on the show. Pretty bad and sad. Wonder how they would like it if someone raked them over the coals like that?

Only if we don't (didn't) bring our children up with the same training...
