Reception at the Italian Culinary Academy to Launch the 2009 International Day of Italian Cuisines

New York, NY, January 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Cesare Casella, Dean of Italian Culinary Studies at the Italian Culinary Academy will host a reception for media and industry professionals to launch The 2009 International Day of Italian Cuisines, organized by the Virtual Group of Italian Chefs (GVCI) which takes place on January 17, 2009.

Chef Casella will be joined by Rosario Scarpato, food/wine expert and Honorary President of GVCI; Food Network Chef/Host Anne Burrell; Fabio Trabocchi, Chef/Partner of Fiamma Restaurant; Chef Giacomo Gallina, GVCI’s Vice President, Executive Chef of Otto Italian Restaurant in Singapore and former Director of International Culinary Operations for Bice Group; and Chef Giovanni Grasso, Chef Patron of La Credenza restaurant in Torino. The Italian chefs will present a brief overview of the International Day of Italian Cuisines and then cook Risotto alla Milanese, the theme of this year’s event, for guests.
