Description:
This recipe is for American style Crunchy tacos, with two extremely important ingredients, the most important being blue corn organic crispy taco shells. These are not your authentic Mexican tacos, nor are they your average Tex-Mex. The second absolute requirement is La Victoria red taco sauce, using California red chile peppers. Can be found at most grocery stores in the US. There are no substitutes for these two main ingredients.
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
10 Minutes
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
2-4 People
  1. 1 Pound Ground Beef (Sirloin is fine, cheap and fatty is perfect) If you want Organic get grain fed beef or grain fed bison.
  2. 12 - Organic BLUE CORN crispy taco shells (Health food store item, or Central Market or Whole Foods)
  3. La Victoria Red Taco Sauce (There is no substitute for this sauce as it is the ONLY one made with California red peppers).
  4. Sour Cream
  5. Avocado
Preparation:
  1. This is extremely easy and only takes a few minutes.
  2. Prepare a cookie sheet layered with the (12) ORGANIC BLUE CORN taco shells. These can be found at health food stores. They are 1000% better tasting than the average yellow corn taco shells made from yellow dent #2 (Americas #1 crop, NOT for food). The organic BLUE CORN taco shells have a massive and filling flavor of real corn and they are not from genetically modified corn strains. You can taste the difference!
Instructions:
  1. Lay the shells on a cookie sheet and bake for 3-4 minutes at 350F.

  2. Heat your ground beef in a skillet until almost done, then add a few tablespoons of oil and turn the heat up to high to sear and blacken the meat.

  3. Add the meat into the hot blue corn shells, and top with nothing but La Victoria red taco sauce. (Most taco sauces are made from tomato and soy, La Victoria is made from ripe California red chile peppers, huge difference).

  4. Add a dab of sour cream, and a slice of avocado.
  5. Add a pinch of salt.

  6. These should be the most simple authentic American tacos, with the best taste you have ever imagined. The shells and sauce make so much of a difference. They can be made in less than 10 minutes and you can serve 12 of them for under $9.

  7. Enjoy!
