Bobby Flay Joins Taste of the NFL's Board of Directors

Taste of the NFL is a non-profit dedicated to tackling hunger by raising awareness and dollars through special events and programs for food banks across the country in every city with an NFL team.
I'm honored to join Taste of the NFL's board as it's the perfect opportunity to combine my passion for food with an important cause that truly makes a difference

Hunger impacts too many people in this country and the Taste of the NFL exists only to provide relief - that's an honorable mission.

Bobby was a chef at the inaugural Taste of the NFL in 1992 and has contributed to the organization in significant ways over the years, said Wayne Kostroski, founder of Taste of the NFL.

Minneapolis (PRWEB) October 21, 2009 -- Taste of the NFL today announced Bobby Flay as the newest member of its Board of Directors.
Flay is a critically-acclaimed chef and award-winning cookbook author, owner and executive chef of nine restaurants, host of seven Food Network shows, and the food correspondent on CBS' "The Early Show." A long-time supporter of Taste of the NFL, Flay joins the 15-member board that is committed to the mission of tackling hunger in the United States.
"I'm honored to join Taste of the NFL's board as it's the perfect opportunity to combine my passion for food with an important cause that truly makes a difference," said Bobby Flay. "Hunger impacts too many people in this country and the Taste of the NFL exists only to provide relief - that's an honorable mission."
Taste of the NFL is a series of culinary events with proceeds going directly to food banks in every city with a NFL team. The premier event takes place on the eve of the Super Bowl in the host city, while throughout the year several NFL teams host local events.
"Bobby was a chef at the inaugural Taste of the NFL in 1992 and has contributed to the organization in significant ways over the years, said Wayne Kostroski, founder of Taste of the NFL. "We are thrilled to welcome Bobby as a board member and are honored by his deeper commitment to provide hunger relief."
Anyone can get involved with Taste of the NFL. A donation of one dollar can provide a person struggling with hunger at least four meals. Getting involved is simple, donate online at Sunday Night Football Cookbook, attend a local Taste of the NFL event or the national event on the eve of the Super Bowl.
The 19th annual Taste of the NFL will take place Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
