Want to put a face to the so called ugly American? Just look at Bobby Flay. He is the epitome of cockiness and arrogance-- the very traits that make the rest of the world look at the lace w:st="on">U.S.lace> with distaste. He puts a spin on these traits, repackages them as "persona" and proceeds to capitalize on them. Are the viewers supposed to be impressed? One can only marvel at how thick-skinned a person can get. Channel surf, see his face... click, click, on to the next channel. Sorry, if I offend his fans.

I guess we all have our favorites. I think Bobby has matured quite a bit since he first started on Food Network. I thought he was cocky back then, but not as much now.

Completely agree, want to see cocky, look at his early episodes. I was just discussing the other day with a friend, how much more tolerable he seemed to be lately.

He used to be cocky and have an arrogant air about him but that was back in the day. I agree, I think he's mellowed since he's gotten married and I actually like watching his shows now.

There was one show where his wife made some of her Texas fare, one recipe being a roast beef that (I think) had a rub on it and after it was roasted was blanketed in foil and sat for an hour. She claimed it would turn out perfect (rare) every time. I printed off the recipe but I guess I forgot about it.
