Rep Power: 1 | Well, sure, why not. I don't fault any of the FN people for selling stuff. Strike while the iron is hot and all that. Other than cookbooks, I've only ever bought some Barefoot Contessa sauces. I would probably be less likely to buy kitchenware of any kind if a FN name was on it. I would suspect the quality right off the bat. |

Rep Power: 10 | I have never purchased anything from the FN celebrity lines. I've seen Emeril's items in the grocery store, but don't recall seeing others. I'm sure they have them.

Rep Power: 1 | It seems like lots of companies are either making celeb branded products or associating their existing products with FN stars for crediibility. Even Dave Lieberman has his face on Tools of the Trade cookware.
The RR hard anodized cookware looks ok, but the basic non-stick painted stuff looks like crap. The emerilware seems to be some of the only really serious celebrity cookware that I have seen, very nice quality. Oh god have you seen the Paula Deen cookware, the reviews on QVC are kinda dismal.
The FN line at khols looks to be pretty good quality, but would only consider buying some of it on sale, because the prices are not at all competitive with name brand products, I think that they are going more on name recognition. I do have the 4-in-1 grill that I love and it was priced better than the almost identical griddler, so I guess their are exceptions.

Rep Power: 10 | I think it's fun to get some of their stuff. Maybe it's my kids, when I get something they will ask if I am going to use the Emeril whatever. Or are you going to make it with the food network thing we got.
Somehow everything in the kitchen is mine until it's something like that then they change to describe it as WE have it.

Rep Power: 1 | In one of my cooking catalogs, Alton was always shilling for Lodge Cast Iron. Now he's moved on to knives. Wonder what Bourdain lends his name to...whiskey or cigarettes, maybe. |

Rep Power: 10 | Anthony doesn't smoke anymore...hasn't since his daughter was born. Don't know about the drinking, though.
I like him.

Rep Power: 1 | Ohhhh, I didn't know Tony had given up smoking, Berry Baby! I'll have to be sure to tell my husband this. Maybe he will be inspired to give up smoking too when our baby is born. Actually the new smoking laws that just went into effect in Germany probably will have greater impact on his smoking life. |

Rep Power: 10 | You live in Germany?
Next year our non-smoking law goes into effect for all public places. They already have this in some cities out here, but it will be a state law. Can't wait!
There are some restaurants we just avoid going to if they still have smoking sections. Those are pretty pointless as you can still smell the smoke in the non-smoking sections.
The best thing the airlines ever did was to make flights smoke-free. Amazing it took so long for this to become law all over.
