Butch Lupinetti of Mount Laurel, N.J., and owner of Butch's Smack Your Lips BBQ, is a pitmaster - a genius with barbecue.

Winner of hundreds of competitions, Lupinetti is so good that celebrity chef Bobby Flay challenged Lupinetti to a barbecue cook-off in 2006 that became the pilot for the Food Network television series "Throw Down with Bobby Flay.'' And Lupinetti won.

"I took him to the kitchen and you'd have thought he was the president,'' Jeff DeMaio, owner of the Titlow Tavern and Grille in Uniontown, said of the kitchen's staff's reaction to meeting Lupinetti.
