Throwdown is a great show.

I heard that it was getting cancelled. Please don't cancel the show, Alton Brown with the way he talks down to the audience, and Paula Deen with her disgusting, gross, lard-ladened gruel, throwback to pre-civil war cooking are the ones who need to go. Don't get me wrong, Paula is pleasant enough but when every dish starts with six sticks of butter, that's just plain sick, and I can feel my arteries hardening just from watching her cook. Yuck.

Where did you hear this? I've seen it's up for another season.

Just like 99% of all the shows they edit them to make us think they are all running around and nervous, when it really takes all day to film.

See the thread on the making of Iron Chef. That is an eyeopener. Takes them 5 hours to film it.

I haven't heard anything about them canceling Throwdown. I'll watch it if they're making something I'm interested in making because you can get some good pointers from both sides. But you have to take this show as just being 'entertainment'.

Ahh I see boof does like other shows. I like throwdown too. See we are all bound to find one we agree on eventually. I haven't heard anything about it being canceled, but I might have missed it.

I love this show as well. The Wing King was def. my favorite...I recommend you try both their recipes!
