I've reached the point in my life where I'm getting rid of 'stuff'. After 34 years of cooking, you tend to have every device you could ever want and then some!

What is interesting, I still love my box grater, which is ancient by today's standards. I have a food processor, but it's just quicker sometimes to use the box grater. I've had electric canopeners, but prefer the hand crank one.

I did buy a strawberry plucker recently because husband saw it in an article saying how great it was. Ah, no it wasn't. Much quickly just to use a knife to get the stem off. So, newer doesn't always mean better....at least to me. Anyone in the market for a one-time-used strawberry plucker?

Lol yea we have a electric can opener.. in the cabinet. use the hand crank one!... we have food processor.. use knives!.... we do have an electric motion sensor paper towel dispenser and an anti-bacterial foam soap disp... use them all the time!

I like AB's thoughts no uni-taskers! i use everything i have for more than one thing!.. well cept the can opener.. but it has a bottle opener on it so i guess its not a uni-tasker!

im! :28:

Yes, think it was on one of Tyler's shows. To young people it may just seem ancient?
I still find it very useful.

I find the older I get the less "stuff" I want cluttering up my life. About a year ago went thru the whole house and cleared out the "stuff" that hadn't been used in eons and hauled it all to Goodwill or Habitat. Yes, I did keep the box grater.
