Throwdown

Does Bobby Flay ever win? I don't think I've ever seen him win one of these challenges.

Do you think the other chefs are ever disappointed that they aren't going to be highlighted in a show, have their own pilot or otherwise do what they were originally told they were doing?

I sometimes think it just seems mean for Bobby to do this. Like he is the ultimate and no matter what they are "best" at, Bobby can probably do it better so he's here to challenge you. Especially if the challenged person loses like the chowder guy. I mean he is going into this person's place or their community and they lose in front of all of their friends who are there to celebrate with them because they were good enough to be recognized on the food network.

I have grown to like Bobby on his other shows, but this one does bother me a little.

Well thats never bothered me because I've never actually seen him win. But I would feel bad for the people if they lost.

The chowder one is the only one I have seen him win. But I haven't watched all of them. I like Boy meets Grill better.

Apparently he's won more than I thought. According to wikipedia he's won 7. 3 out of 15 in the first season and 4 of 13 in the second.

On Sunday they had a Chicken Caccitore throwdown. Bobby lost, but I did try the challenger's recipe last night...DELICIOUS!!! I could taste why he won. My husband enjoyed it as well and it is going on my list of things to make for dinner. Highly recommend this recipe.

It would be funny if he showed up and the person didn't know who he was.
