Rep Power: 0 | FNF.......along with Bass Pro Shop, you should try Cabella's. It's down I-78 on your way to Allentown, PA. I personally have never been "in" the store but have driven past it several times now. Talk about one gigantic and amazing place to go. I work with people who go religiously a few times per year and then my son dates a girl from the Hamburg, PA area and he's been there and said it's awesome. Don't know if you have to go through that area when you come "up North" but you should try to get there for your Dad. I think they have Cabella's in Virginia too, don't they?
BerryBaby......LOVE your furbaby.......sooooo sweet! You look like someone I know in my area too so everytime I see your avitar, I think of her, LOL. So you are from the Pacific NW? I have two cousins that live in that area......on lives on Vashon Island, Washington state and the other one lives in Idaho. Funny enough, they both were born and raised in Simi Valley, California and ended up living in Alaska and Idaho, Oregon, Washington.......guess they didn't like all the fun in the sun. |

Sophie is a little fluffball! Just got back from the vet. She had her stitches out today. While I was brushing her one day I found a lump. Turned out to be a benign
cyst. That was great news.
I'm in Portland, Oregon. We have been here for 28 years and just love it. Beautiful, beautiful part of the country!
Welcome to the forum...hope you enjoy it. We have a great time sharing stories and thoughts about the FN and other stuff.

Rep Power: 10 | The sportman shops aren't some place I would normally go, but my dad loves to fish so he usually asks me to look for some things on a list he sends. I don't know if they have any in Virginia. We don't have much of anything in West Virginia, but I think there is some kind of big sports place north of me.
I like going to the Williams Sonoma in Harrisburg, there aren't any of those here either. |

Rep Power: 0 | Poor Sophie! I had found some lumps on my dearly departed Golden Retriever, Butchie (he was pre-named when I got him @ 1.5 years). The lumps were just fatty tumors (lipomas) thank goodness.
My cousin lived in Portland, Oregon for 12 years before moving to Vashon Island, Washington. I've never been to that part of the country......I've driven across the U.S., just never that far NW.
My brother lives in Peoria, AZ (Phoenix/Glendale area). Just was there to visit him for the first time in May for my nephew's h.s. graduation. My brother has lived there almost 12 years now. I don't get to travel much......too busy and too poor putting 3 children through college, masters degrees and now grad/doctoral programs!!! Seems like it's never ending........ but.......it means the world to DH and I to be able to give them the best educations possible. We never had those opportunities ourselves! :family2: |

Rep Power: 0 | Hi Everyone Hi to all of you. My name is Phyllis and I love the Food Network. My favorites are Quick Fix Meals, Diners and Dives, Everyday Italian and well most of the shows especially Paula Deen.
I went to 2 of the Food Network Food Shows they had at Fort Washington, Pa. but since the expo center closed I have not seen anything posted regarding these shows. Anyone heard anything about these shows in the Pa., or New Jersey area. The show was terrific. Also the food show "The Book and the Cook".
Hope more people join. |

Rep Power: 10 | Welcome, we have a small group of good people so far. We haven't been here long but we seem to be growing pretty well. Hopefully it will continue.
I am glad to see we have a wide variety of fans here. Everyone seems to have a different favorite. That just goes to show why the Food Network has been successful. |

Rep Power: 2 | Hi Everyone...sorry I'm just getting to the introductions now
I'm from the south [a transplanted northerner], a wife/mom - not necessarily in that order. I'm also a graphic designer and wanna-be professional chef. I own a stationery company, selling designs I create online and in stores. Although I went to art school originally, I plan to attend culinary school one of these days and take over the Martha Stewart empire while producing my own Food TV shows. [just kidding...well...sort of.][insert echoes of evil laughter]
I love to cook, love Food Network and look forward to chatting more with everyone! |
