Wow! Great pics and glad y'all had a great time. It's been many years since I've been on a cruise or been to the west coast. We've just visited CA from Malibu down to the Mexican border. Hoping to get to northern CA some day.
Your pics of the village of Copala reminded me of our visit to the Acoma Pueblo in Acoma NM a couple summers ago. The houses, narrow winding streets and the mission. Except we were not allow to shoot any photos inside the mission.

Before you criticize someone you should walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you criticize them you are a mile away and you have their shoes!

I have several lens for my Pextax istD, but the one that stays on it 99% of the time is a Sigma DG 28-300mm. About the only post editing I do is cropping or remove a item like that trash can I need to remove from that one photo. But, mine are mostly straight from the camera. One thing that really made the photos from that RV road trip great was the "air" in the UT, AZ and NM area. Everything is so bright and clear. I did tend to go a wee bit crazy with the number of photos I made.

Right now I am using my kit lens on my Samsung (clone of *istdL) it does the trick but I will get something more versatile someday.
I can't wait to visit the southwest again some day.
I handed my partner the camera at the Griffith Observatory and he took almost 350 pictures
, I almost had to wrestle him to get the camera back, he really likes the DSLR. MAC

Next time come further north! The PNW is amazing. We lived and traveled California, but was amazed at the incredible beauty of the PNW. I didn't think it would get any better, but it does.

I was thinking a cruise to the PNW would be cool! We may get there some day, there are so many places on our list, and limited funds, it will take a while to see them all. That is why we have been cruising lately, it has been so affordable.

The DH and I didn't take any vacations for many years due to his work and mine of owing and operating a retail business that was opened 6 days a week. But once we both retired and got the motorcoach... we've been hitting the open road. I really like seeing the US that way. No airports, rental cars, packing and unpacking, having to eat out every meal and you have your own little bed you can sleep in every night. Plus, the four-footed kids (1 dog and 3 cats) can go and enjoy it too. We've been to almost all of the 50 states (still working on how to get the bus to Hawaii
) and parts of Canada. Most of all, cook from the heart, and you’ll never be lonely when the dinner bell rings! - Chef Robert Irvin
