Customer Service

Ok, this is way off the food topic, but wanted to share. It's so rare to get good customer anymore so imagine my surprise when I had three good experiences in the last couple of days.

The first was with the cellphone company. After many problems with the cellphone, they gave me CREDIT for two service days. Amazing.

Then, I had to go to the doctor as I had a very strange pain on my side. Not being one to wait and see, I did a walk-in appointment. My doctor for that day was new to the clinic.

While I was in the exam room, we got interrupted twice. Not a big deal to me. However, he apologized for the interruptions and said, because of those, he wasn't going to charge me. Amazing, again!

Today I had a dentist appointment. I received a phone call an hour before from their office. I thought they were going to tell they had to re-schedule, but no. They were calling to tell me they were running 15 minutes late so I didn't have to rush to get there. Yet, again, amazing!

Could it be that customer service is making a comeback?!

Gosh, I hope it's coming back. I own a small business and customer service is so important. I think the big guys forget about that.

Yes it would be nice. If you get the right person the first time, the one who will help people it is a blessing. I had my cell phone company say my phone was connected to the internet for some massive download and charged me 250 dollars for it. I call 3 times and the 3rd time the guy looked and saw I have only used the phone about 30 times since I got it and never did downloads. The one in question was at 4 am. So it must have just been a mistake. He did all the research on it and credited my account.

It is a blessing when someone really tries to help you.

Is the cellphone company you mentioned BerryBaby a national one?

That is good to hear. They say many of the smaller ones have good customer service so maybe that is keeping the big dogs on their toes.
